CARE Sustainability in a Changing Climate Case Competition: Meet the Finalists!
On Friday, November 14th, the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy hosted the second annual CARE Sustainability in a Changing Climate Case Competition!
Graduate students from seven teams representing the four CARE partner institutions— University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, Sciences Po’s Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) and University of Guelph —collaborated online over 10 days with the guidance of a coach to develop comprehensive policy solutions for a case challenge focused on preserving the Algonquin Uplands Ecosystem.
The teams presented their innovative solutions to a panel of public sector judges: David de Launay, Jeff Liebert, Jim Whitestone, and Michael Zinck.
The competition consisted of two rounds. In the first round, teams were divided into two groups and presented to a panel of two judges, competing against the other teams within their group.
Two finalist teams from Sciences Po advanced to the final round, presenting their policy solutions before all four judges:
- Team 4, coached by Glen Wright, included Hannah Forsythe, Daniel Knott, Grace Dodge, Clara Simões Coelho, and Etienne Oriot.
- Team 5, coached by Francie Ducros, included Titouan Chalavon, Luce Faget, Alessandra Ghitturi, and Carlo Feruglio.
Ultimately, Team 5 won the 2025 CARE Case Competition. The students will receive a €500 prize and have their solution published on the CARE and Munk School websites.
This exciting initiative was made possible through the generous support of the DRG Foundation
