CARE Faculty Visiting Fellowships

As part of our commitment to deepening collaboration across the CARE consortium, we are pleased to offer faculty mobility fellowships for short visits between partner universities. These fellowships are designed to strengthen research ties and foster meaningful engagement with students around CARE’s core themes: climate change, biodiversity, energy transition, and environmental sustainability.

Faculty members from CARE institutions are invited to spend 2 to 4 weeks at another university in the consortium. During their stay, visiting faculty will have the opportunity to connect with local research communities and contribute to student-centered activities – bringing new perspectives, methods, and insights to diverse academic environments.

Faculty Fellowships comprise a contribution of up to 7,500 euros toward travel and living expenses for
visits of up to one month and must be used between October 2025 and June 2026.

Visiting faculty will have access to a workstation on campus (when possible), to the host institution’s
library, and to other services and facilities as available. They will be invited to local programs of research
activities and events.

Visiting Faculty Member Engagement

Visiting Faculty are encouraged to use this time to conduct local research and work with existing collaborators at the host institution. Faculty may also use it an an opportunity to make new connections for future collaborations with the support of the CARE team.

As a visiting faculty member at a CARE partner institution, we ask that you deliver one or more student-centered activities, such as:

  • A guest lecture or short seminar series in your area of expertise.
  • A workshop, simulation, or policy lab aligned with CARE themes.
  • Informal discussion sessions or research roundtables with master’s students.
  • Collaborating with PSIA course instructors to enrich classroom content or co-teach select sessions.

These activities should relate to one of CARE’s overarching themes: climate change, environmental transformation, biodiversity, energy transition, and related global challenges. They should also reflect the interdisciplinary, policy-oriented, and global approach of the CARE program and aim to inspire and engage our diverse student body.

Below, you will find information about what to expect and how to get involved at each CARE partner institution.

Applications

To apply, Faculty need to send a CV and short motivation letter to the contact person at the relevant university. The letter should provide details of their proposed dates of travel, their plan of activities – including how they relate to CARE’s core themes – and the level of financial support needed. Please apply by 25 October 2025.
